With a career spanning 40 years, Hellen is the co-founder & Director of Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, the largest and highest grossing independent salon in the UK.
Hellen completed her hairdressing training with a chain of concession salons within department stores and progressed into salon management with the company, culminating in her appointment as General Manager of Harrods Hair & Beauty before starting her own business in 1992.
She is a leading business trend commentator, educator and lecturer in her sector with a high profile in TV, trade and consumer media, and is the author of the Ultimate Salon Management text books and co host of The Blow Out podcast.
Hellen is a board member and Vice President of The Hair & Beauty Charity and BAWE (British Association of Women Entrepreneurs) and co-founder of Salon Employers Association. She is a trustee of VTCT (Vocation Training Charitable Trust) and has a wealth of business knowledge in the hairdressing and beauty industry.
